[Will - Richard Iliffe 1726] In the Name of God Amen. I Richard Iliffe the elder of Kibworth Beauchamp in the County of Leicester do make this my last Will & Testament in manner following. Hereof I bequeath my soul to almighty God in hopes of blessed Resurrection to eternal life & my body to the ground to bury sd according to the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named. First I give and bequeath one quarter of a yard Land lying in Kibworth Beauchamp aforesaid now in the occupation of Richard Wale unto William Vincent of Kibworth Beauchamp (Wil & Thomas Adams of Kibworth Beauchamp Shoomaker to them and their Heirs for ever. Nevertheless in traf[?] [******] & for thes hereafter mentioned that is to say, that all the Rents & profits thereof shal be paid to & for the sole aset[?] of my daughter Grace Swingler or they shall be [******] from time to time during her natural Life & at her demise my Will is that this quarter of a yard Land shall be sold by my trustees [?] above mentioned or their Heirs or ancestors & [****] it shall be sold for thus divided, that is to say eight pounds of this said money to Sarah Swingler, my Grandaughter. And all the rest of the Money be it more or less, to be equaly divided Share & Share alike among the other children of my daughter Grace Swingler which shall happen to outlive their mother. Item I give unto my Grandaughter Sarah Swingler half my Pewhtr & half my Brass & a third part of all my Linnen, a third part of my Beding, & one Bedstead [*****], & a third part of all the rest of my household goods. Item I give unto my son Henry Iliffe and unto my daughter Elizabeth Birch, each of them fourty Shillings out of the money now due to me from my son Thomas Iliffe. The rest of my Household Goods of all sorts I give to my daughter Grace Swingler for her to distribute among her Daughters as she shall think proper. Lastly I appoint[?] my son Thomas Iliffe to pay the charges of my funeral out of the money he now owes to me. And all that shall remain in his hands after those funerall expenses & thes legacies to my son Henry & Daughter Elizabeth are paide by my son Thomas Iliffe. I grant & be- queath unto my son Thomas Iliffe & his Heirs forever. All the rest of my worldly substansis whatsoever I give to my Daughter Grace Swingler & make her sole Executrix of this my Last Will & testament. Revoking all former Wills by me made, I declare this to be my Last Will & Testament this twenty ninth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord 1718 & herinto set my hand and seal.
